Ten part reading of the 2013 William Boyd Bond novel.
It is 1969 and a civil war is raging in am oil rich west African country; the parallels with the Biafran conflict are obvious. Bond is ordered to Africa in an attempt to contact the rebel leader. His real mission is dicovered and Bond is badly hurt. He decides to revenge himself - he must go "solo".
The writing is good and feels very much like Fleming. The ending leaves the way open for a follow up with a new mortal enemy for Bond.
